Frequently Asked Questions
Where do you ship?
Our Ingredients Kits ship anywhere in the lower 48 states (mainland US) and internationally. Shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, and internationally will incur an additional fee. Delivery occurs during the week of the event.
Can our international team members also join in on the fun?
Yes! Virtual Table is all about inclusion! We can ship participants our kit or we can provide a list of similar ingredients that your international colleagues can purchase on their own.
Can you cater to dietary restrictions?
With inclusivity at heart, we will do our best to accommodate dietary needs. If substitutions to a dish cannot be made, we will inform the organizer in advance.
Are attendees required to buy their own ingredients?
No, attendees will not need to buy their own ingredients. Everything each individual will need is shipped right to their doorstep. We do ask each participant to provide a few pantry staples from their own kitchen (e.g. salt, oil).
How many servings are included in one kit?
Our Ingredients Kits contain servings for two (2) adults.
What equipment will we need to cook our Virtual Table meal?
The Virtual Table meals vary from menu to menu, and are all created with a home chef’s setup in mind. A list of equipment (e.g. mixing bowl, medium pot, kitchen tongs) will be provided ahead of time. Each meal can be cooked with basic kitchen tools most home cooks have.
What if some participants have zero cooking experience?
Not a problem! Our chefs will guide each participant step-by-step throughout the event so no one gets left behind.
What if no one is home when the Ingredients Kit is delivered?
Virtual Table will coordinate with the event organizer to inform the participants when to expect their kit. Each kit arrives cold in a thermally-insulated package but it is recommended that it be refrigerated upon arrival.
Can participants use a mobile device to join the virtual meeting?
Yes! While using a laptop is ideal to see the cooking steps in full screen, using an iPad or other devices (e.g. Facebook Portal) will still work. We do not recommend using your mobile phone.
What if our company’s IT policy doesn’t let us use Zoom?
No worries! While we strongly prefer hosting Virtual Table events using Zoom, we can use your company’s preferred video conferencing software, such as Google Meet, Cisco Webex, Microsoft Teams, etc.
